Over the course of two unforgettable days, we’ll explore the Eastern Central Serengeti, immersing ourselves in its extraordinary landscapes and rich wildlife diversity.
The Eastern Central Serengeti, particularly around the Seronera Valley, is a transition zone where sweeping grasslands meet pockets of acacia woodland, creating a mosaic of habitats teeming with wildlife. This region is renowned for its year-round wildlife presence and is a key location on the Great Migration route, offering chances to see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and their ever-watchful predators.
A highlight of our safari will be exploring the Nyabogati area, one of the Serengeti’s best-kept secrets. The presence of permanent water sources supports a thriving population of herbivores, attracting not only lions but also leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs making it a true predator’s playground.
We’ll also venture into the Gol Kopjes, a dramatic landscape of ancient granite rock formations scattered across the open plains. Often referred to as the “Serengeti’s secret Serengeti,” this area is a haven for cheetahs, who use the kopjes for vantage points while hunting. The surrounding short grass plains are ideal for spotting wildlife and create stunning panoramic scenes that are perfect for photography.
Throughout our stay, we may encounter elephants, giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, buffalo, topis, reedbucks, hippos, baboons, vervet monkeys, and many other animals along with an array of birdlife. The diversity of ecosystems ranging from lush river valleys to dry savannah and rocky outcrops ensures each game drive offers something new and exciting.
Morning drives provide the best light for photography and prime predator activity, while evening drives capture the magic of the Serengeti bathed in golden hues.
